Civic Engagement

The city offers many opportunities to become involved and have a voice in community affairs. In addition to serving on boards and commissions, you can also help other residents by providing specialized assistance to city departments and divisions.

The Police Department often needs clerical assistance while amateur radio operators are organized to help the Fire Department's Emergency Preparedness Division. You can learn to be a mediator with the city and help neighbors and family members resolve disagreements. Crossroads Mini City Hall Residents can help young people by volunteering with the city's Family, Youth and Teen Services division.

The list of the positions on the left covers many of the city's civic volunteer opportunities or check out opportunities with other organizations..
