Bellevue Challenge Course

Participants on the high ropes course at the Bellevue Challenge CourseFirst established in 2006, the Bellevue Challenge Course and Zip Tour is a partnership between Bellevue Parks & Community Services and Northwest Teambuilding.  The professional challenge course facilitators and zip line guides at Northwest Teambuilding are focused on delivering effective, quality experiences for all participants, and operates all programs at the Bellevue Challenge Course & Zip Tour on behalf of Bellevue Parks & Community Services.

The Bellevue Challenge Course and Zip Tour sit on a hillside above South Bellevue Community Center and are tucked among the Douglas firs, cedars and broad-leaf maples of Eastgate Park.  Close to home but nestled in nature, the Challenge Course is comprised of four elements that can be experienced separately or in combination with each other:

Low Course

A series of ground-level challenges designed to help teams improve performance, increase cohesiveness, and examine core concepts such as communication, problem solving, and collaboration.

Vertical Playpen

A vertical high ropes course where larger groups form smaller climbing teams of up to three people at a time.  These teams take turns gearing up and climbing together to meet goals while being belayed by their team members.

High Course

An aerial obstacle course where teams spend an extended amount of time at height together examining and expanding their own capabilities and comfort zones, while helping others do the same.

Zip Tour

A series of seven ziplines and two suspension bridges that send you soaring as high as 80 feet through the canopy of Eastgate Park.  The Zip Tour is designed to be an exciting personal experience as well as an enjoyable aerial outing with great company.

Challenge Course Programs

Every participant will be supported to choose their personal level of challenge, and each program will be facilitated or guided by professionally-trained staff members.  We provide two different categories of programming to the community.

  • Bellevue Recreation programs are designed for individuals and families, and are available April-October.
  • Bellevue Teambuilding programs are designed for groups and teams, and are available year-round.

Team Challenge Adventure Camp

One week of challenge, choices, and adventure in a team environment!  Campers, ages 11-14, will have the opportunity to play, grow, and experience everything the Bellevue Challenge Course has to offer.  The campers will begin with traditional Low Course teambuilding, then as our team progresses, we'll harness up and tackle the Vertical Playpen and the High Course.  This week of team-based exploration with professional facilitators will include a ride on the Bellevue Zip Tour!
